On 2nd October 2019 the new SUMP guidelines have been released by the European Commission on occasion of the Civitas Forum 2019.

The new guidelines include the main guidelines defining the general methodology and approach to SUMP and a set of official topics guides and practitioner briefings that investigate specific topics related to the SUMP process.

The new SIMPLA guidelines for the harmonization of energy and sustainable mobility planning are included in this series of annexes.

This fourth edition of the guidelines (click here to download them) has been updated in order to include the new improvements to the SUMP guidelines and has been enriched with links to additional resources.
